Google has finally removed the guesswork from Gemini usage limits. A new update to the Help Center outlines exact caps for prompts, images, Deep Research, video generation, and context windows across the free tier, Pro, and Ultra subscriptions.

Previously, Google’s documentation used vague phrasing like “limited access.” Now, marketers and creators have concrete numbers to plan around — though actual throughput still depends on prompt complexity, file sizes, and conversation length.

What’s Changed

The Gemini 2.5 Pro free tier allows up to five prompts per day, alongside:

  • 100 images per day
  • 20 Audio Overviews per day
  • Five Deep Research reports per month

Paid plans raise those ceilings:

  • Pro: 100 prompts/day, 1,000 images/day, and 20 Deep Research reports/day.
  • Ultra: 500 prompts/day, 200 Deep Research reports/day, plus Deep Think with 10 prompts/day at a 192k-token context window for advanced reasoning.

Context Windows & Video Generation

Context size also scales by tier. The free plan provides a 32k-token context window, while Pro and Ultra expand to 1 million tokens — ideal for long conversations and large document processing.

Ultra includes Deep Think separately capped at 192k tokens, specifically for complex queries.

Video generation is still in preview. Pro currently offers up to 3 videos/day with Veo 3 Fast, while Ultra allows 5 videos/day using Veo 3.

Availability & Access

Gemini Apps in Pro and Ultra tiers are available in 150+ countries for users aged 18 and above. Upgrades tie into Google One paid plans, consolidating AI with other premium Google services.

Why It Matters

These clear ceilings provide practical planning inputs for marketing teams, researchers, and creative professionals. Businesses relying on steady content production or competitive analysis can now match workloads against tiered limits.

Google also notes that caps may shift over time, reinforcing the need to watch in-app notices on heavy-use days.

Looking Ahead

As Gemini features move from preview to general availability, these limits could evolve. For anyone relying on large context windows, video generation, or Deep Research, revisiting Google’s Help Center regularly is a smart move to avoid workflow surprises.
